November 23, 1944 - Winston Churchill gives a speech about American Thanksgiving and talks of a day when the whole world will celebrate Thanksgiving and be free from German world domination.

On the day before Thanksgiving, listening to this speech, it makes me proud to be an American.

Thought it wise to share across platforms my big move to the one and only Big Easy / Crescent City - New Orleans.

Making my final preparations and spending Thanksgiving with family and then off I go to drive down there from Pittsburgh on Sunday.

This blog post from The Causemopolitan lays out the reasons of the heart and the head why I’m making this big bold move. Enjoy :)

Anytime I need a little inspiration, I listen to a great speech from history. Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream” is at the top of that list. It’s 15 minutes long, take a little afternoon break and take a listen. That optimism in the face of hatred and uncertainty, the hope he gives to our great nation and the legacy he leaves behind are constant reminders to me that in the face of adversity, we must push forward.

Even the cynics have to admit this is one sweet gesture.
And by “cynics” of course I mean me.
From nostrich.

My daily tune to share is Petra Haden covering Journey’s Don’t Stop Believing.

I *might* listen to this late at night when I’m on a roll with something and just turn it up and sing along. It’s good to do that. Freeing. Liberating.

Enjoy!
